In California, a 35-year-old Indian national, Simranjit Singh Sekhon, has been charged by the district attorney's office with the alleged rape of an unconscious passenger. The incident reportedly occurred late on November 27 when Sekhon picked up the victim from outside a bar to take her home. Prosecutors allege that after the ride concluded, Sekhon continued to drive the intoxicated and unconscious passenger and sexually assaulted her.
