A suspicious death in Hyderabad has been officially declared a murder following a police investigation. The wife of the deceased, Jaggavarapu Brahma Gnana Prasanna, has been arrested by Cyberabad Police for allegedly killing her husband, J Sudheer Reddy.
Sudheer Reddy was found dead in their Kukatpally residence on December 24. Initially treated as a suspicious death, the case was reopened as a murder probe after a mid-January autopsy report confirmed strangulation, contradicting initial accounts of an accidental fall.
During interrogation, Prasanna confessed to strangling her husband with a scarf. Police noted that the incident occurred shortly after Sudheer had previously reported fearing for his safety from his wife. Prasanna has since been remanded to judicial custody, and police are investigating the motive and potential accomplices.
