The group of five, including a Rapido worker, were observed riding a motorcycle with four pillion passengers, none of whom were wearing helmets. Police reported they were engaged in rash driving and stunts, creating a significant risk to themselves and others.
Authorities utilized the viral video and surveillance footage to identify and subsequently arrest the five accused on Wednesday. They face charges including rash driving and endangering life under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, as well as violations of the Motor Vehicles Act.
This incident marks the third such case registered by Saifabad police in the high-security Secretariat area within ten days, highlighting a concerning trend of dangerous driving and stunt performances on city roads.
