18 Apr
Summary
- Husband died after being pulled into an MRI machine by his necklace.
- Lawsuit alleges clinic negligence for not removing the metal necklace.

A lawsuit has been filed against Nassau Open MRI on Long Island by Adrienne Jones-McAllister, 61, whose husband, Keith McAllister, died following a July 16, 2025, incident. While assisting his wife during her MRI scan, Keith was allegedly pulled into the machine due to a large, 20-pound metallic chain around his neck.
The complaint, filed with the New York Supreme Court in Nassau County on April 7, asserts that the clinic's staff were aware of the chain and failed to ensure its removal. McAllister's death occurred the day after the incident, which his wife reportedly witnessed.
Adrienne Jones-McAllister is seeking an undisclosed amount in damages, citing severe mental anguish and distress. The suit names Nassau Open MRI, East Coast Radiology, P.C., Sun Enterprises, LLC, and GM Partners Westbury LLC as defendants, alleging negligent, wanton, reckless, and careless acts by the clinic.
