He was arrested in May 2025 at his Huddersfield home as part of an investigation into a suspected drug supply network. Hamid pleaded guilty to multiple charges, including being concerned in the supply of ketamine and cannabis, and possession with intent to supply these drugs.
During the investigation, ketamine with an estimated street value ranging from £511,000 to £1,460,000 was seized by West Yorkshire Police. Also sentenced was Kai Helliwell, 25, who police stated worked with Hamid. Helliwell received a three-year prison term for possession with intent to supply and conspiracy to supply cocaine.
Authorities confirmed that both individuals admitted their roles in drug dealing within the community. The arrests and sentencing are a result of ongoing investigations into organized crime networks operating in West Yorkshire. Police continue to pursue further investigations into drug supply and related criminal activities across the region, urging the public to report any suspected criminal activity.
