Teen Suspects Injured in Failed Armored Car Heist

In the Gulfton area of Houston, a planned robbery of an armored vehicle was thwarted when a guard fired shots, injuring two teenage suspects. The incident unfolded as an armored car driver was making a delivery and was approached by three individuals from a nearby truck. After being sprayed with bear spray, the driver returned fire.
Authorities quickly responded to the scene and, using surveillance footage from a Flock camera, identified a white Mercedes believed to be the getaway vehicle. This vehicle was tracked to a car wash on Tidwell, where officers apprehended individuals attempting to remove evidence. In total, six or seven people were arrested in connection with the attempted robbery.
The two injured suspects, aged 15 and 16, were found at an urgent care facility and subsequently taken to Texas Children's Hospital for surgery. The armored car driver was unharmed, and no funds were successfully stolen during the incident. Investigators are currently processing charges against the arrested individuals, believing they have apprehended all parties involved.
