Hooded Thugs Loot Crashed Car on Busy M1 Motorway

According to a recent report, a shocking incident occurred on the M1 motorway last Wednesday afternoon. Around 3 pm, a group of hooded individuals were caught on camera robbing a crashed Toyota Prius on the busy highway.

The video footage shows a pair of suspects jumping out of a Range Rover and approaching the dented Prius, which had been forced to stop in the central reservation. One of the individuals is seen removing an unidentified item from the back seat, while the other man examines the driver's side of the vehicle. Both the front and back windows of the Prius appear to have been smashed during the incident.

After the alleged robbery, the suspects quickly returned to the Range Rover and rushed away from the scene. Northamptonshire Police have since launched an investigation into the incident and have arrested four men from South Yorkshire, aged 28, 29, 32, and 32, on suspicion of robbery. The men have been released on police bail pending further enquiries.

A spokesperson for Northamptonshire Police stated that the driver of the Prius was "forced to stop" by the occupants of the Range Rover, who then "allegedly threatened him and stole items" from the vehicle. The National Highways agency also confirmed that their Stopped Vehicle Detection system had registered the stationary Prius on the motorway, and traffic officers were dispatched to assist and arrange the recovery of the vehicle.
