Honour Killing Suspects Paraded in Plaster

In Rohtak, four men accused of a 22-year-old woman's alleged honour killing were paraded through a market, appearing with leg casts from a recent police encounter. Authorities stated this display was intended to break public fear of criminals. The suspects were later presented in court following their discharge from a medical facility.

The victim, Sapna, was allegedly killed by her family, including her brother Sanju, due to her three-year-old court marriage. Police claim frequent disputes arose from perceived social embarrassment caused by the union. Previous attempts on the couple's lives had reportedly failed before Sapna's death in a home invasion.

While the defense lawyer questioned the authenticity of the police encounter, the victim's brother was granted police custody for further interrogation. Investigators are working to identify more individuals involved in the alleged conspiracy, as the legal proceedings continue for the accused.
