Nicholas Metson, 28, has been sentenced to life in prison for the horrific murder and dismemberment of his wife, Holly Bramley, 26, from Lincoln. The crime, which occurred in March 2023, involved Metson stabbing Holly and then paying an accomplice, Joshua Hancock, £50 to dispose of her body parts in a river. This act followed Metson's torture and killing of Holly's pets.
Holly's family, including her mother Annette and sister Sarah-Jayne, are now advocating for 'Holly's Law,' a proposed national register for animal abusers. They believe linking this register to domestic abuse records could prevent future tragedies. Holly's sister highlighted that concerns over Metson harming pets were dismissed due to a lack of accessible history.
Before her death, Holly, described as affectionate and maternal, had fallen under Metson's control. Despite knowing about his past convictions for revenge porn, she believed his claims of innocence and married him in 2021 without family present. The family were alienated from Holly and had limited contact in the years leading up to her murder.
