25 Aug
Summary
- Police officially declared Hina Javaid's death a murder, not suicide.
- Victim's husband and a domestic servant are in custody.
- A special team is investigating the murder of the 45-year-old executive.

Hina Javaid, a 45-year-old digital media executive, was found dead under circumstances initially reported as suicide. However, police have now officially classified her death as murder. Regional Police Officer Babar Sarfraz Alpa confirmed this, stating that her husband and a domestic servant are in police custody, while the victim's father-in-law is currently under investigation.
The investigation began on August 20, when the victim's husband reported a housebreak. Police discovered Ms. Javaid's body in the bathroom, tied to a shower with her hands bound behind her back. Following a murder case registration at the brother's request, a special investigation team was formed.
During remand, the domestic servant reportedly disclosed that an argument between Hina and her husband on the night of the incident led to her being tortured and strangled. The servant alleged that her body was then placed in the bathroom to create the impression of suicide.
