A collision on the Bareilly-Rampur stretch of the Lucknow-Delhi highway on Sunday evening led to a remarkable rescue. A kidnapped man, Manoj, and two children were saved after the SUV they were traveling in crashed into a tanker. The accident tragically resulted in the deaths of three of their alleged abductors, with a fourth critically injured. The victims had been abducted from Gurugram and were being transported through Bareilly when the crash occurred.
Authorities identified the deceased abductors as Manmohan, Sikandar, and Vishesh Yadav. The injured abductor, Prince, is under police watch during treatment. Initial investigations suggest the kidnapping was motivated by either ransom or a personal dispute, possibly linked to a relationship dispute involving one of the deceased abductors and the victim's family. Police suspect the accused intended to harm Manoj.
Bareilly Police successfully cracked the case following the accident and liaised with Haryana Police, as the kidnapping originated in Gurugram. The rescued children and Manoj received medical attention. The investigation is ongoing, with Haryana Police set to take over further inquiries.
