The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department has issued a public advisory regarding a new burglary tactic involving hidden cameras. Authorities discovered surveillance devices concealed in bushes outside a Cerritos home, a discovery echoed in other parts of the city. These hidden cameras are reportedly used by burglars to monitor residents' activities and plan potential home invasions.
Similar incidents have been reported across Southern California in recent years, including locations like Palos Verdes, West Covina, Arcadia, Upland, Chino Hills, and Temecula. In one instance in the Inland Empire, three Colombian nationals were arrested in connection with such devices. Law enforcement officials nationwide have noted this as a growing trend targeting homeowners.
