Hemet Man Arrested for Firing at Moving Vehicle

A man has been arrested in Hemet following an alleged drive-by shooting incident that occurred Wednesday evening. Deputies responded to the 25000 block of Florida Avenue around 7:20 p.m. after receiving calls about a shooting.
Upon arrival, law enforcement discovered that the victim's vehicle had been struck by gunfire. While the suspect fled the scene, deputies were able to identify him as 21-year-old Juan Carlos Zambrano.
Zambrano was taken into custody the next day near Mountain Avenue and Old Mountain Avenue without further incident. A search warrant was executed at a local residence, and evidence was collected from the location and Zambrano's vehicle as part of the ongoing investigation.
He was booked on charges of attempted murder, assault with a firearm, and willfully discharging a firearm in a negligent manner. Authorities are continuing their investigation and asking anyone with information to come forward.
