A tragic incident has led to a murder charge against a 34-year-old man. Simon Richardson faces charges including murder and manslaughter following the death of Michael Mullins, the head teacher of Stretford Grammar School.
Mullins, 56, who had served as head teacher for 17 years, was fatally struck by a car on Paddock Lane in Altrincham on Monday evening. He was cycling home from work at the time of the collision.
Richardson, who is of no fixed address, was also charged with dangerous driving, failing to stop, and driving without insurance. He was scheduled to appear before Manchester and Salford Magistrates Court on Friday.
