Gangster Claims Hotel Shooting in Hazaribag

An upscale hotel in Hazaribag's Matwari locality was targeted by miscreants late Thursday. Four shots were fired at the main entrance of AK International Hotel around 10:10 pm, causing the glass facade to shatter. Fortunately, a security guard on duty escaped unharmed.
Following the incident, a social media post emerged where gangster Rahul Dubey claimed responsibility. Dubey, who is wanted in several criminal cases, also issued further threats to coal traders and transporters operating within the district. Police are currently working to verify the authenticity of this social media post.
A police team, including the SP, SDPO, and Korra police station in-charge, visited the hotel and conducted a preliminary investigation. Authorities have stated that the suspects have been identified and the motive behind the shooting is under active investigation.
