Haryana Police Censor 67 Gangster-Glorifying Songs

Haryana Police have initiated a significant crackdown on music content that glorifies gangsterism, weapons, and violence. Authorities identified and acted against 67 objectionable songs across platforms like YouTube and Spotify. This extensive investigation revealed that such music negatively influences youth by portraying a false, luxurious image of criminal life, potentially pushing them towards illegal activities.

The special task force and cyber unit's efforts have led to the removal or blocking of most of this content. Director General of Police Ajay Singhal emphasized this action as vital for society and the younger generation, aiming not just to curb crime but to prevent young individuals from embarking on criminal paths. He stressed that these songs often misrepresent the harsh realities and consequences faced by criminals and their families.

The Haryana Police are committed to not allowing any platform to host content that promotes a crime culture. They have engaged with artists and creators, urging them to produce responsible content.
