A Harrison Township man has learned his sentence for a shooting that took place in the summer of 2025. Caleb Cox, 28, was ordered to serve two years in prison on January 12, 2026, after entering guilty pleas for aggravated assault and having weapons while under disability.
The sentencing follows an incident on June 18, 2025, where deputies responded to a call in the 2100 block of Lodell Avenue. They found a woman suffering from a gunshot wound to her right outer thigh. An investigation revealed that Cox had shot the victim during an altercation at his home.
Cox, who is slated to serve his time at the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections Center, could face up to two years of probation upon release if deemed necessary by the parole board. The victim reportedly called 911 and falsely claimed she had shot herself.
