A fatal stabbing has sent shockwaves through the peaceful village of Cheriton, Hampshire, where 68-year-old housekeeper Gilly Livie was discovered deceased in her thatched cottage on January 9th. The beloved grandmother suffered fatal stab wounds to the neck, as confirmed by a post-mortem examination. Authorities responded rapidly, but sadly, Mrs. Livie was pronounced dead at the scene.
In connection with the incident, a 39-year-old man, known to Mrs. Livie, was taken to the hospital with injuries initially deemed life-threatening. He is currently in a stable condition.
