Jagunte Jaylee Bass and Kevin Yamil Rosa recently pleaded guilty to murder and other related charges for their roles in the crime. Investigations revealed that Bass had arranged a meeting with Ragsdale under the pretense of a marijuana purchase.
The meeting, initially planned for a local Walmart, was moved to a Home Depot parking lot due to law enforcement presence. Prosecutors allege Bass and Rosa intended to rob Ragsdale. During the encounter, Rosa reportedly entered Ragsdale's SUV and shot him twice. The vehicle then accelerated erratically before crashing.
Witnesses observed Rosa fleeing the scene in Bass's vehicle. Rosa was apprehended in Conyers, with evidence including bloody clothing and a hidden gun discovered. Bass was arrested in Coweta County. Rosa, a convicted felon, received a sentence of life in prison plus 25 years, while Bass was sentenced to life in prison plus 15 years.
