In a deeply disturbing incident, a 15-year-old girl from Bhind district was allegedly gang-raped and murdered in Gwalior. The accused later attempted to incinerate her body on Gupteshwar Hill to conceal the crime. The victim, a class 9 student, had been missing since May 28.
Investigations indicate that Ramu Gurjar lured the teenager to Gwalior, where he and two accomplices, Arun Kushwah and Gaurav Kushwah, allegedly committed the heinous crime near Navagraha Temple. Fearing exposure, the trio reportedly confessed to sexually assaulting and then murdering the girl.
On May 29, the accused allegedly poured petrol on the victim's body and set it ablaze to destroy evidence. Following swift police action and interrogation of the prime accused, his accomplices were arrested in Gwalior. The incident triggered protests from villagers demanding capital punishment for the perpetrators.
