Gutka Dealers Ram FDA Officer in Raid

Two individuals, Sunil Dhole (33) and Sagar Zalke (25), were arrested and charged with attempted murder following a dramatic raid on Tuesday morning in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) team, acting on a tip regarding a truck loaded with banned gutka, was inspecting the vehicle near JK Roller Flour Mill. Sensing danger from suspicious individuals on motorcycles and cars, the FDA alerted the Waluj police. Before police arrived, a black vehicle without license plates reportedly stormed the scene, with its occupants shouting to shoot the officials. The vehicle was then deliberately driven towards FDA officer Pragya Surse, who narrowly escaped being crushed. Amid the chaos, the truck containing the banned gutka was driven away. Dhole and Zalke were later apprehended, and a manhunt is underway for the missing truck and other gang members. This incident highlights the growing audacity of illegal gutka networks and the risks faced by officials during enforcement actions.
