An engineer, Pranjil Pathak, aged 37, was found deceased in the jacuzzi of a Gurugram hotel. The discovery was made by housekeeping staff on Monday evening after Pathak failed to check out. His body was found face down in the jacuzzi water.
Investigators recovered a strip of unidentified medicine from his hotel room, with six of the ten tablets consumed. This strip has been sent for forensic analysis to determine its composition and potential link to his death. No foul play is suspected at this stage, with initial theories pointing to a possible cardiac arrest leading to drowning.
Pathak, originally from Agra, had been residing in Manchester for three years and was working remotely for a Swiss firm. He was engaged to a colleague in London, with their wedding planned for next year. The victim had booked the hotel after a late-night visit to Delhi's airport.
