Property Dispute Sparks Violence in Gurgaon Flat
21 Dec
Summary
- Four individuals arrested for breaking into a flat and assaulting a woman.
- The incident is a result of a property dispute over a flat purchased in 2021.
- Police believe both parties may have been misled by a third party.

In Gurgaon, four individuals were apprehended on Saturday after allegedly forcing entry into a flat, removing household items, assaulting a woman, and issuing death threats. This incident, occurring in Lakshman Vihar 2, is reportedly rooted in a property dispute involving the complainant, Shyam Sundar Mukherjee, and the arrested parties.
The accused claimed they purchased the flat for Rs 15 lakh in 2021, but the sale deed was never registered. The complainant subsequently purchased the same flat from another party and completed the registration in 2024. Authorities noted that both sides appear to have been misled by a third party, with the complainant possessing valid documentation while the accused seem to have been defrauded.
Instead of seeking legal recourse, the accused took matters into their own hands. A case has been registered at Sector 9A police station under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita related to assault, unlawful assembly, rioting, mischief, and trespassing. The arrests were made on the same day from Sector 4.
