Gurgaon Officials Flagged for Illegal Property Deeds

The Haryana town and country planning department (DTCP) has raised concerns over illegal sale deeds registered for a commercial project on MG Road in Gurgaon. The DTCP is seeking action against revenue officials in Wazirabad for alleged violations of urban development laws.

The sale deeds were executed for the Bristol Hotel-cum-commercial complex, which was granted a change-of-land-use (CLU) permission in 1995. The DTCP claims that the CLU conditions were breached when units were sold to third parties without the mandatory license required under the Haryana Development and Regulation of Urban Areas Act, 1975.

Despite clear instructions issued in December 2025, prohibiting any property registration linked to the complex, a sale deed was registered on December 29, 2025. The DTCP has characterized this as a wilful and mala fide act by the Wazirabad tehsildar and naib tehsildar.
