Summary
- History-sheeter shot dead near Kherki Daula toll plaza.
- Suspect arrested based on victim's WhatsApp voice message.
- Victim had 16 criminal cases; alleged shooter Tanish is absconding.

A fatal shooting near the Kherki Daula toll plaza on January 13 has led to the arrest of one suspect. Manoj Ojha, a 34-year-old individual with a significant criminal record including 16 cases, was shot and later declared dead at Medanta Hospital. Police have apprehended Lokesh, a taxi driver, in connection with the murder.
The investigation gained momentum after Ojha's brother reported receiving a WhatsApp voice message from the victim shortly before his death. The message identified an accomplice named Tanish as the assailant. This crucial piece of evidence directed police efforts towards Lokesh, who was arrested in Delhi. Tanish, however, is currently absconding.
Authorities revealed that Ojha, Lokesh, and Tanish had traveled to Hisar with intentions to commit a murder, but their plan failed. A dispute arose during their return journey near Manesar, during which Tanish allegedly used an illegal weapon to shoot Ojha. Two loaded pistols were recovered from a Bolero vehicle found near the crime scene.
