A fatal business dispute culminated in a murder-for-hire plot allegedly orchestrated by a Gurgaon eatery owner against his childhood friend. The victim, Amit Saini, 35, was found shot in the head inside his car on Hindon Kanawani Road in Indirapuram, Ghaziabad. His companion, Vijay Sharma, initially reported the incident as a road-rage attack involving two bikers.
However, Sharma's account quickly faltered under police scrutiny. Discrepancies, such as the absence of blood and the location of the gunshot wound, raised suspicions. Sharma subsequently confessed to hiring two associates to kill Saini, driven by a bitter rivalry over their adjacent food stalls at Sheetla Mata Mandir in Gurgaon.
Authorities are actively pursuing the two alleged shooters and reviewing CCTV footage to piece together the events. An FIR has been registered against Sharma and the unidentified assailants. Saini's family has lodged a complaint, and an autopsy report is pending.
