In a brazen jewelry theft that occurred just two days ago, on October 12th, 2025, two men posed as customers to steal gold earrings from a shop in Gurgaon, India. According to the police report, one of the suspects entered Deepanshu Jewelers around 1:30 pm, claiming he was constructing a new house and wanted to purchase small jewelry items for religious purposes. The unsuspecting shop owner showed him several items, including nose pins and gold earrings.
After browsing for a while, the suspect asked about the prices of some pieces and left, saying he would return in the evening with money. True to his word, the suspect returned around 5 pm, this time accompanied by another person. Both men entered the shop and began examining the jewelry on display. In the midst of their browsing, some items were allegedly dropped on the floor, prompting the shopkeeper to bend down and collect them.
Taking advantage of the distraction, one of the suspects discreetly slipped a packet of gold jewelry, containing the earrings, into his back pocket. The duo then casually exited the shop. It was only after their departure that the shopkeeper, sensing something amiss, reviewed the CCTV footage and discovered the theft. The police were immediately informed, and the CCTV footage was seized as evidence.
