Four individuals have been sentenced in federal court for a brazen gun shop burglary. On September 16, 2022, a stolen truck was driven through the front entrance of Alan's Armory in Harris County, leading to the theft of 31 firearms. Jareco Green, Darious McCall, Zyrion Fryer, and Shamonica Davis pleaded guilty to charges related to the incident.
Security footage showed masked perpetrators stealing pistols and rifles from the store. Law enforcement recovered the stolen truck and found evidence, including a ski mask with Green's DNA and a stolen semi-automatic pistol in a gym bag. An analysis of McCall's iPhone revealed searches for pawn shops and gun stores, along with directions to Alan's Armory shortly before the burglary.
The defendants were found to be selling the stolen firearms online, with Shamonica Davis using coded language like "shoes" to refer to the weapons. U.S. Attorney William R. Keyes stated that such activities pose a significant threat to community safety and will not be tolerated.
Sentences varied, with Green receiving 120 months in prison, McCall 60 months, and Fryer 37 months for theft of firearms. Davis was sentenced to five years of probation for possession of a stolen firearm.
