An attempt by an elite Gujarat Police unit to intercept a suspected illicit liquor consignment on Thursday morning in Ahmedabad ended with the smugglers escaping. The incident began when officers spotted a white SUV suspected of carrying contraband.
When confronted, the vehicle's driver sped off, leading to a chase through city areas. The police attempted to block the SUV, but the driver maneuvered dangerously, driving on the wrong side of the road and attempting to hit officers.
