A Grimsby man, Patrik Seidenglanz, 50, has been sentenced to 12 years imprisonment after being found guilty of multiple serious offenses against a 14-year-old girl. His conviction includes attempted rape, assault by penetration, and several counts of sexual assault, following a seven-day trial.
The investigation, led by Humberside Police, revealed evidence of grooming through seized electronic devices. Seidenglanz denied the allegations while in custody, but the jury found him guilty based on the evidence presented during the trial.
Detective Constable Enea Luciano commended the victim and her family for their courage in reporting the "detestable behaviour." While acknowledging that the sentence cannot erase the trauma, the hope is that it provides reassurance that Seidenglanz is imprisoned and poses no further threat.
