Decades-old interactions between convicted murderer Greg Lynn and police, related to his first wife Lisa, can now be disclosed following the lapse of a suppression order. This order had previously barred reporting on Lynn's criminal history, including events surrounding Lisa Lynn's death in 1999. Despite a coroner determining her death was due to drugs and alcohol, it's now known she had secured an intervention order against Lynn.
Lynn breached this order twice by visiting her home and engaging in heated phone calls. He was subsequently charged with breaching the order and escaping police, to which he pleaded guilty. Prosecutors sought to introduce testimony from Lisa Lynn's parents, who described Greg Lynn's alleged threats, verbal, and physical abuse, claiming she lived in fear of him.
The jury in Lynn's double murder trial was not informed of these prior dealings with police. In June 2024, Lynn was convicted of murdering camper Carol Clay but acquitted of Russell Hill's death. He is currently appealing his conviction and sentence.
