Cops Injured as Suspect Rams Crowd in Green Bay

Four law enforcement officers in Green Bay, Wisconsin, sustained non-life-threatening injuries early Saturday morning when a vehicle deliberately drove into a crowd. The incident unfolded around 2:15 a.m. local time when Green Bay Police officers were responding to a disturbance near a food truck and attempted to take individuals into custody. During this interaction, a car accelerated towards bystanders and officers, prompting one officer to discharge their firearm. The suspect then fled the scene, initiating a police pursuit that ended after officers successfully executed a PIT maneuver, disabling the fleeing vehicle. The driver was apprehended without further incident on suspicion of driving under the influence. Authorities confirmed that some officers' injuries occurred prior to the vehicle impact, during the initial attempts to detain individuals. The Brown County Sheriff's Office is assisting the Green Bay Police Department in the investigation of the officer-involved shooting.
