In Arlington, Texas, a tragic incident unfolded on Friday, March 20, resulting in the arrest of Rontrell Jackson, 21, for the alleged murder of his grandmother. Authorities were alerted when a family member found the 68-year-old victim unresponsive on her apartment patio, covered by a blanket.
Upon arrival, paramedics pronounced the woman deceased. Investigators learned that Jackson and his grandmother had recently engaged in a heated argument concerning his allowance. Detectives questioned Jackson, who reportedly confessed to fatally shooting his grandmother earlier that morning inside their apartment before moving her body outdoors.
Jackson was subsequently arrested and charged with murder. He is currently detained at the Tarrant County Jail with a bond set at $750,000. A firearm, believed to be the murder weapon, was recovered from the apartment premises.
