Gotti's Grandson Weds Accuser Amid Assault Charges

Carmine Agnello, the grandson of the late Gambino crime boss John Gotti, married his girlfriend, Ariana Puran, on August 8, 2026, mere days before he was set to surrender to federal authorities. Agnello, 40, a former reality TV star, is beginning a 15-month sentence for wire fraud after defrauding a COVID relief program. He received $1.1 million for his company, Crown Auto Parts & Recycling LLC, but authorities stated he was not entitled to the funds. Agnello also faces charges in Nassau County for allegedly assaulting Puran. Prosecutors claim he became suspicious of infidelity, leading to a physical altercation where he allegedly pushed, slapped, punched, throttled, and kicked Puran, destroying her phone. Puran, however, stated it was a 'regular couple's argument' and she does not intend to pursue charges. Agnello's surrender date has been postponed several times, initially due to a claimed kidney transplant donation for his mother, before being finalized for August 10, 2026. His attorney indicated they are working towards a resolution for the assault charges.
