A brazen robbery took place on Wednesday evening in the Taljhari police station area of Dumka district, leaving a gold trader significantly poorer. Four masked individuals, traveling on two motorcycles, intercepted Dilip Kumar Sah, a gold trader, near Taljhari Haat. The incident occurred as Mr. Sah was returning home from his shop on his bike, accompanied by his relative, Harinandan Sah.
Armed with guns, the miscreants forced Dilip and Harinandan to hand over a bag containing valuables. The stolen items comprised 2 kg of silver and 35 grams of gold jewellery, with an estimated market value close to Rs 9.5 lakh. Authorities have initiated an investigation, with raids underway at suspected locations and CCTV footage from surrounding areas being meticulously examined to identify and apprehend the perpetrators.
