Goa police's cyber crime cell has arrested an individual for serious offenses including privacy violation, sexual harassment, and transmitting sexually explicit material online. The accused, the complainant's ex-boyfriend, allegedly obtained private images and videos during their past relationship.

Following a breakup, he created fake social media profiles to disseminate these private materials and exact revenge. He also resorted to demanding sexual favors and extorted ₹35,000, transferred via UPI to two bank accounts. The severe harassment reportedly drove the victim to attempt suicide.

A technical investigation traced the suspect to Dharwad, Karnataka, leading to his arrest. The individual was presented before a court and is currently in police custody.
