In a significant operation against drug trafficking, Telangana's EAGLE Force, in collaboration with Hyderabad and Goa police, apprehended three individuals in Goa. These arrests are tied to an expansive narcotics supply network that operated between Goa and the states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
The arrested suspects include Priteesh Narayan Borkar, identified as a key figure with a history of drug-related cases, Basharath Ahmed, and Tarun. Borkar, previously arrested in 2022, was found to manage a network of over 1,000 customers and sub-peddlers. Authorities confiscated 13 LSD blots, ecstasy pills, and approximately 100 units of charas, with a total estimated value of Rs 1.5 lakh.
Investigators are now meticulously examining the entire supply chain, from procurement and transportation to distribution and financial transactions, to identify any additional members of the network. The EAGLE Force continues its efforts to combat drug activity and encourages public reporting through its toll-free helpline.
