The 77-year-old victim was reportedly attacked with a machete after he had already been stabbed inside a black Mercedes. He exited the vehicle in an attempt to prevent the attacker from accessing the car's boot.
Footage of the assault shows the knifeman, dressed in black, using a large blade against the victim as he tried to retrieve bin bags from the car. Emergency services, including armed police and a dog unit, responded to the scene.
