An 11-year-old girl, Dora Belen Rivera, remains hospitalized after being shot in the head outside a McDonald's in Hallandale Beach last month. Doctors have determined that the bullet lodged in her head cannot be removed at this time due to the significant risk of further harm. Her father, Oscar Roman Miron, was also shot in the hip during the incident on Saturday, June 27. They were described by authorities as innocent bystanders who were present while Miron's wife went inside to pick up food. The family's two younger children were also in the vehicle but were unharmed, though they witnessed the terrifying event. Miron has since been treated and released from the hospital, continuing his recovery at home. The alleged shooter, 18-year-old Ralph N-Kosi Blue III, was arrested and charged with multiple counts of aggravated battery and assault. He is being held without bond in the Broward County Jail. The incident stemmed from an altercation between other individuals in the parking lot, with Miron and his daughter having no involvement.
