Gigolos Star's Dark Secret: Manslaughter Conviction Revealed

Ash Armand, known for his role on the Showtime reality series "Gigolos," was sentenced in December 2021 to eight to 20 years in prison for the July 2020 beating death of Herleen Dulai. Armand pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter and mayhem. He claimed that after consuming psychedelic mushrooms with Dulai, he "blacked out" and lost control.

The Paramount+ docuseries "Sin City Gigolo," which premiered in March 2025, explored Armand's case. Armand, described as a "zen master" on the show, had an unconventional upbringing that his mother noted involved immersion in Eastern and Western healing traditions. He began working in sex work in 2012 and was a cast member on "Gigolos" for four years.

Dulai, a 29-year-old personal trainer and friend of Armand, was found deceased at his home on July 16, 2020. The official cause of death was blunt force trauma and strangulation. Armand's alleged involvement in "freak offs" associated with Sean "Diddy" Combs also surfaced in May 2025.

Armand has been serving his sentence at a Nevada correctional facility since 2021. The circumstances surrounding his actions remain a focal point, particularly his claim of a blackout following drug use.
