Mother's Protective Order Failed Before Mass Stabbing
25 Feb
Summary
- Woman sought protection from son due to occult rituals.
- A deputy intervened, fatally shooting the suspect.
- Four other adults died from stab wounds before police arrived.

A tragic incident unfolded in Gig Harbor where a mass stabbing resulted in five fatalities, including the suspect. The homeowner had previously sought a protective order against her son in April 2025, citing concerns over occult rituals and witchcraft conducted within the property. She reported property damage and alleged physical and mental abuse, expressing fear for her safety and that of her cat.
Despite a protection order being issued in May 2025, a tip received on the day of the incident suggested the suspect might breach it. A lone sheriff's deputy responded to the call and encountered the suspect actively stabbing individuals. The deputy ultimately shot and killed the 32-year-old suspect. Tragically, four other adults sustained fatal stab wounds before law enforcement arrived at the scene.
