A 40-year-old Bank of India branch manager, Rohit Batra, died by suicide on Monday night in Ghaziabad. The incident occurred after he allegedly fell from the 14th floor of his society in Raj Nagar Extension. Police were alerted by a resident and found Batra had already succumbed to his injuries at a local hospital.
The primary reason cited for the alleged suicide is a property dispute with his sister. This was corroborated by a voice note Batra reportedly sent to his family's WhatsApp group before his death, detailing the conflict. Police are currently examining his call records as part of their investigation.
Authorities confirmed Batra was captured on CCTV entering the society and proceeding to the 14th floor. His mobile phone was discovered on the 14th floor. While his family has not formally lodged a complaint, the investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death is active.
