Georgia Girl Rescued from Trafficker

A 16-year-old girl was rescued from alleged human sex trafficker Eric Gordon, 36, of Decatur, following a multi-agency operation. Gordon was indicted on charges of trafficking the minor for sexual servitude. The victim was recovered during Operation Global Chain, an international law enforcement operation conducted from June 8 to June 12, 2026. This joint operation successfully recovered 11 missing children in Georgia, involving partnerships with the FBI, Interpol, Europol, and Ameripol.

Attorney General Chris Carr stressed the critical need for collaborative efforts in child recovery. He stated that by partnering with law enforcement locally and globally, more victims can be located and lives saved. This initiative follows other successful operations, including Operation Coast to Coast, which located 11 missing children earlier in 2026. Previous efforts like Operation Not Forgotten, in 2020 and 2021, resulted in the recovery of 59 missing children and the prosecution of 13 traffickers.
