Tragically, Elliott's final moments were captured on a Ring camera. Sheriff Mike Jolley recounted hearing the victim yell, "Don't do it," followed by gunshots and her calling Harris's name. The next day, law enforcement discovered Harris dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound in a Phenix City hotel room.
Elliott had just dropped two of her three children off at school when the fatal encounter took place. The family, with children aged 14, 10, and 6, had recently moved into a new home. The loss has deeply impacted the children, described as heartbroken by authorities. A GoFundMe has been established to support the grieving family.
