The Cyberabad Municipal Corporation (CMC) has initiated legal proceedings by filing a First Information Report (FIR) against three individuals for the repeated, unauthorized dumping of construction and demolition (C&D) waste. This action comes after multiple warnings and complaints from residents regarding illegal dumping opposite the Deloitte campus in Gachibowli.
The FIR was registered on July 22 at Raidurgam Police Station, naming Bamaiah, Prabhakar Reddy, and Laxmaiah. The charges fall under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Prevention of Damage to Public Property Act. The illegal activity, primarily occurring during night hours, had caused significant environmental pollution and traffic obstruction.
In addition to the FIR, the CMC has seized the vehicles allegedly used for the dumping. To permanently prevent further violations, the civic body is installing blue galvanised iron sheets to secure the site. This comprehensive action underscores the CMC's commitment to addressing public grievances and maintaining environmental standards.
