Temple Pit Horror: Two Friends Found Buried
13 Aug
Summary
- Two missing friends found buried in a temple pit.
- Priest and son allegedly murdered the friends over dispute.
- Two suspects arrested, father and son still at large.

A grim discovery was made in Baghpat's Lahchauda village when the bodies of Ankur Kumar and Israr Ahmed, missing since July 25, were found buried in a pit inside a local Ganesh temple. The exhumation occurred early Thursday after police acted on an anonymous tip.
Authorities zeroed in on the temple's chief priest, Naresh Kumar, and his son, Saurav Kumar, who had absconded. Temple attendants, taken into custody, reportedly led investigators to the hidden grave in the temple courtyard. The motive appears to stem from a dispute over the priest's alleged illicit relationship with Ankur Kumar's sister, which Ankur had opposed.
An FIR has been registered against Naresh Kumar, Saurav Kumar, and two attendants, Krishna and Ujjwal, under charges including murder and causing disappearance of evidence. While Ujjwal and Krishna have been apprehended, efforts are ongoing to locate and arrest Naresh and Saurav.
