School Van Vandalized: Four Arrested in Lucknow

In Lucknow, police apprehended four youths two days after they allegedly terrorized schoolchildren by vandalizing a school van. The incident occurred near Charak crossing on the morning of August 3, with videos of the attack quickly spreading online and sparking public concern. Authorities identified five suspects after analyzing CCTV footage and viral videos, leading to the arrest of four individuals: Sandeep Rajput, Brijesh Rajput, Nitin, and Anuj Kumar, all from Maljha village in Unnao. The motorcycle used in the offense was also seized and impounded.

The investigation revealed that the six youths were riding recklessly before targeting the school van. They smashed its windows and body while children were inside, causing significant distress. Residents who came to help were met with threats from the fleeing assailants, who allegedly threatened the van driver. Police credited the swift resolution to the analysis of local CCTV footage and social media evidence, which helped trace the suspects' movements. The arrested individuals are now facing judicial proceedings.
