Four Arrested in Bega Park Stabbing Death

Four people, including a 19-year-old woman, were apprehended last Thursday in connection with the fatal stabbing of Gordon Kessey. The incident occurred in Bega on October 6th, where Kessey was found with stab wounds in a park and later died. A second man also sustained injuries but survived.

Police investigations have been extensive, involving searches of a unit and a local wetland area where evidence and vehicles were recovered. The arrests took place at various homes in Bega and Bemboka. Authorities stated that all four arrested individuals are alleged to have been involved in the incident.

Detective Acting Inspector Luke Walsh noted the complexity of the homicide investigation and did not rule out further arrests. Despite the ongoing nature of the inquiry and the potential for more arrests, he assured the Bega community that they should feel safe. The murder weapon has not yet been recovered.
