Sutton-in-Ashfield Stabbing: Four Face Attempted Murder Charges

Nottinghamshire Police have arrested four individuals on suspicion of attempted murder after a man sustained serious injuries in a stabbing. The incident occurred in Beechwood Close, Sutton-in-Ashfield, on Thursday, February 5th.

Two men, aged 45 and 52, were initially arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent and have since been bailed. Subsequent extensive inquiries led to a raid on a property in the town on Tuesday morning.

This raid involved firearms officers and a stand-off that lasted several hours, during which a police drone was damaged. The operation resulted in the arrest of two men aged 18 and 19, and two 23-year-old men.

All newly arrested individuals, except the 19-year-old, face charges of attempted murder and assisting an offender. The 18-year-old and one 23-year-old are also charged with criminal damage. Police confirm the investigation is ongoing and urge anyone with information to come forward.
