Gwendolyn Denise Rolle, a 59-year-old pastor, faces multiple child neglect and domestic battery charges after allegations of severe mistreatment of five foster children. The children, aged between 4 and 9, reported being regularly denied food, access to a toilet, and showers.
Officers responded to an anonymous tip on June 2nd, discovering the children were forced to use a bucket for waste and bathe outside with a garden hose, as one of the home's two bathrooms was kept locked and the other was filled with feces. Neighbors also stated they provided food and clothing to the children, which Rolle then confiscated.
The Florida Department of Children and Families intervened, removing the children from the residence. Rolle was arrested on June 2nd and subsequently released on a $26,000 bond on June 3rd. Investigations into the case are ongoing.
